Bleeding

Post op day 12. Healing process has been quite good for the most part. Bleeding was extremely minimal and stopped in the first week. This last week I've done nothing but sleep and lay on the couch. Felt pretty good considering my life is usually very stressful and busy. Today I woke up and had my step son do everything while I just guided him, laundry, straightening etc. all I did was make eggs for breakfast. Now I feel like crap, my stomach is slightly cramping and there is slight brownish red blood when I go to the bathroom. Is it possible I did too much when I really didn't do anything? Is it normal to start bleeding again weeks later?

Re: Bleeding

I had the same thing about 10 days post-op - but lots of bleeding and huge blood clots! I freaked and went back to the hospital where they checked me out and told me not to worry, that it's part of the healing process, it's some stitches and scar tissue coming away. They said to come back if there was continuous bleeding over a couple of days, but it stopped the same evening. Just take it easy and don't strain yourself and I'm sure it will be ok!
