Preparing to Storm the Castle
Knowing that tomorrow I can have no solid food because I begin the bowel prep, I decided to thoroughly enjoy myself today at a tailgating party before the Rams-Bills football game. I ate like there was no tomorrow. I stuffed myself with 8 gigantic Buffalo wings, ranch dressing, carrot & celery sticks and then washed it down with three *urp* Pepsi's. That was 8 hours ago and I am still so full that I am waddling. Remember the old Alka-Seltzer tv commercial where the guy is moaning, "I can't believe I ate the who-o-ole thing"? Well, that's me right now.
Looking around in the basement, I found a small camping pillow to press against my abdomen if I should cough or sneeze after surgery. I'm also about to make a late night run to Walgreens to get some Gas-X to throw in my overnight bag as well.
Tomorrow's menu is all set. The jello is jiggling in the frig alongside a jug of apple juice and a gallon of Hawaiian fruit punch. I've got assorted popcicles in the freezer and a jar of Wyler's beef bouillon in the pantry. Ohhhh, yummy.
I have 2 bottles of ginger-lemon flavor Fleets Phosphosoda and 2 bottles of cherry flavor. I've got a date with four bottles of this stuff beginning at 8 am tomorrow morning.
I can't wait for someone to say to me, "you are so full of s***" so that I can honestly say, "NOT TODAY!!"

Preparing to Storm the Castle
Lol Leep ya know there is always curly and my thread you can visit for your bowel prep. Woooo I was wishing yesterday that I had some mag citrate to help me go to the bathroom. Actually it all came out in the end, well several times and my tummy is down to being/looking only 10 months along instead of 14 with triplets.
Best of luck today with your prep and I am going to be thinking about you tomorrow girly. Hopefully I can be around today to make you laugh, though I am trying not to do much of that at the moment ...cuz well it hurts lol.

Preparing to Storm the Castle
Hi, I'm having my surgery tomorrow also.
And today, I'm doing the clear liquid diet, then a bottle of magnesium citrate this evening and a couple fleet enemas about 8 tonight.
Im so hungry and I'm getting a bit dizzy and jittery. I've been drinknig apple juice, ginger ale, ate a popsicle.
I did eat some oatmeal and had some coffee fro breakfast tho.
I have alot to get doen today. Still need to get packed. I did finally find a robe at Belks, I'm jsut going to wear the hopsital gowns, then I won't have that to launder when I get home.
My surgery is at 9:15. I'll be thinking about you.

Preparing to Storm the Castle
I don't know who Fleet thinks they're fooling by labeling that rank liquid "ginger-lemon". I was expecting a nice citrus flavor but all I could really taste was salt. YCCCCHHH. I drank two 1.5 oz bottles per the instructions. It made me nauseous and queezy. I had to go lie down and I think I dozed for about 30 min. There was a drop left in the bottle and I had my hubby taste it. He has a stomach like an iron kettle but he was pretty grossed out.
Exactly 2 hrs after I had my morning cocktail, a mini-Mount Vesuvius began to erupt in my tummy. For the next 2 hours I pretty much stayed in the bathroom. The instructions said, "if not clear take another two bottles at 11 am". I was praying, Oh, please, please, PLEASE be clear. I really don't want to have to swallow any more of that stuff. I lucked out and 2 bottles turned out to be enough. YIPPEE!!! I talked my daughter into returning the 4 bottles I didn't use and told her she could keep the refund.
And now I just want to EAT real food! I've got a vivid imagination but even I had trouble pretending my lemon popcicle was a thick, juicy hamburger dripping in onions and cheese. I drank my Hawaiian punch from a coffee cup but my taste buds weren't fooled one bit.
OOPs... gotta run.... I KNOW you'll understand.

Preparing to Storm the Castle
Leep! Man I was starving so bad and all I could think about was fish for some reason. Bless my mother the night after my surgery she went and picked me up my red lobster, a baked fish with rice and veg. I told everyone all day in the hospital I didn't care what they had to say I was eating at least dinner. They gave me a stinking bowl of pudding for my lunch which I kept down, and then I stole part of my moms choccie cake. The nurse came in pointed at it and said "did you eat that" I told her darn straight I did and I was eating dinner too! lol Needless to say they got me off of a liquid diet ha ha.
I got so sick of fruity this and fruity that during my prep, I had hubby pick up some werthers originals at least they were creamy and not tart.
I wish you the best for tomorrow, hope everything goes as planned and you are on the road to a speedy recovery soon.
