Which swelly-belly band?

Now I have a new topic to obsess about.
Since I don't know yet if it will be a vertical or horizontal incision, would the vertical band be the best to order? I want a horizontal cut but she can't guarantee it. I am at the point of just telling her to cut me up and down and get over with! I don't want to wait until afterwards to order my band and be miserable until it arrives.

Please do not obsess about this. I obsessed over EVERY single detail prior to my surgery. You might want to consider asking your doctor for an abdmonial binder. My doc gave me one in the hospital. For the first few weeks after my surgery, it gave me a lot of support. It might hold you over until you get home from the castle and then you could order correct the belly band. Good luck with your surgery.

I agree. You can also temporarily use a cold pack wrapped in a long scarf or placed on your belly in a towel for a few days until the correct belly band arrives. (Sisters often use the band for continued belly swelling and even back pain long after the initial recovery period is over.)
