Why does insurance have to be so picky

My OB/GYN says I need a hysterectomy. They submitted to my insurance (military retired) and they bounced it back wanting more information.. How much more can they need. They have all my records, biopsy, symptoms how long I have been going through the pain, the aggrevation and they want more. My dr said not to worry that it will be approved that military insurance is just picky on how its worded UGH. I am supposed to have my surgery on Nov 3 less then 2 weeks away. I need to have an approval before Dh can put in to his work the days he needs to take off. Thankfully that is the week he only works 2 days since he works shift work and his supervisor is saying no problem but it would be nice to know if Im actually having it that day and be somewhat feeling better before Thanksgiving

Why does insurance have to be so picky

As a current Army wife fighting them on a few issues regarding leave I feel your pain. My DH hates it but it is like I always say.... Join the Army so you don't have to use common sense.
The people pushing the papers are some of the slowest people in the world!

Just keep on them ever day until they get it approved.

I am in the same boat with you except my pre-op is tomorrow and surgery is Tuesday. Sending you positive thoughts and hoping things work out soon.
