Think I am doing the right thing but just so scared.

Hi! I'm new here and have the same feelings of "should I, shouldn't I". I'm 48, history of heavy periods, pain, horrible PMS, severe anemia, the works. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy 3 years ago with a previous doctor but my insurance denied it saying it wasn't "medically necessary". That dr has since lost his license for other reasons but it forced me to find a new dr. My new dr feels like it is necessary. I am scheduled for June 27th. While I'm ready for this roller coaster to be over, I'm very scared, too.
