Re: Things to look forward to

This is such great timing because just a couple of nights ago I was at Walmart and rounded the corner to find myself standing in the tampon/paid aisle and such euphoria overcame me that I NEVER have to waste money on those products again!!! I would be so heavy that buying tampons and pads would be a real budget buster.

I have a couple of vacations planned for later in the year and knowing that I don't have to worry about being on my period is WONDERFUL!! :-)

And one more thing I'd like to add: sleeping through the night, instead of getting up at 3 AM to pee or change my sheets!

Re: Things to look forward to

Not spending $80-100 a month on pads!
No more iron infusions or blood transfusions!
Not having to worry about SNEEZING or coughing!
Being able to stand up without running to the bathroom and hoping no one's in there!
Not having to wear long shirts and dark pants ALL the time!
Not having to have an extra pair of clothes at work!
Not needing to have a ton of stashed in my purse, in my desk, in the bathroom at work...
Not worrying about peeing in a cup and saying, "I have my period, sorry."

Does the list ever end??

Re: Things to look forward to

Hello Ladies!

I'm looking forward to:

- Not needing to take up space in my purse with extra pads AND tampons

- Not needing to worry about random bleeds between periods.

- No more stained sheets and mattresses that look like a murder scene.

- A victorious end to the battle with "The Crimson Horror"

- Finally, most of all, being able to wear pretty lace panties anytime I want to!

And I forgot to mention: No longer needing birth control.
Since I'm in my 40's, doctors have advised it has led to weight gain and high blood pressure.
So hopefully, healthier days are ahead!

Re: Things to look forward to

Gosh, there are so many things that have changed for me since my surgery, every single one is great!

* not having to take tampons, pads and spare underwear everywhere 24/7

* no more debilitating cramps

* no more crazy psycho mood swings

* no more crying every single time I started bleeding again after doctors told me all the medication would help

* being able to go wherever I want whenever I want without having to plan around bleeding

* no more unclean feeling all the time

* no more legging it from the bath to grab something to put between my legs before I drip blood everywhere (maybe TMI)

* not seeing what seems to be litres of blood in the toilet

* not filling 3 bins with pads

So many positives have come out of having this surgery, it's the best I've ever felt!

+being able to swim whenever I want

+not having that hostile feeling when I see a package of 28 overnight pads advertised as a 4 month supply

+potential to have light colored, non-patterened sheets!

+ never another LEEP

+no more fear of traumatizing my students/children/general public with a hemorrhaging leak

Please add!
MrsBeans,
There are so many positive things that you'll notice after you have healed. It's truly amazing. I was enjoying sleeping on my belly last night. For so many years, there was a lump there... Lots to look forward to.
