This sounds like a silly question...

If I'm having my uterus taken out and my cervix taken out.. What is going to hold my fallopian tubes and ovaries in and up?

Are they just going to float in there??

This sounds like a silly question...

Your ovaries and fallopian tubes are held in place in the pelvis by muscle and ligaments. When the uterus and/or cervix is removed (as in an LAVH) the uterine ligaments are cut. However, the rest stay in place by muscle, ligaments, arteries, etc. But a lot of times the location of the tubes/ovaries will drop lower into the pelvic cavity because there is no uterus there to keep them lifted up. My ovaries are lower now than before. Hope this helps you.
