Am I asking too much, or is it OCD

OK, I really don't have OCD mostly because it isn't in alphabetical order.....But I have been thinking, another dangerous thing for me, that my radiology films that I took to my surgeon are probably better than a year old. I feel like my companion fibroids have gotten larger as I can feel them more easily and a friend said that I looked a bit bigger in the belly recently. I called today to see if I should have another MRI because I do not want any surprises or have to postpone the surgery any longer than it already is. It was difficult getting things lined up. I am scheduled for 11/7/11. I did not get a call back yet as to weather or not I should have more recent imaging done....Just me stressing....

Re: Am I asking too much, or is it OCD

My ultrasound was over a year old and I didn't need new ones. My surgeon would have wanted a MRI if I was going to try for a myomectomy, but not for a hysto. I had a DvH on Sept 1. My surgeon said if my uterus was too big, she would have to cut it into smaller sections to get it out, but she ended up not needing to.

The point is unless your surgeon requests one, I wouldn't worry about having an old MRI. It doesn't seem that important if they are going to remove the whole uterus.

I do, however, understand the constant worry about these types of things. I think we do it not to worry so much about the actual surgery. Believe the posts that say that waiting is the hardest part!
