Itching and swelling in my future???

Ok, so I have been reading about Swelly Belly and itching and all that jazz, So, what can we do about it? Is there a cream or ointment that I should get to stop the itching? I just went and got a Cold Peeze pack from CVS for the swelling when it occurs, but is that enough? What about the Belly Band thing? Does the hospital give you one, or do I need to buy one of those as well?

I wasn't given a belly band at the hospital, really wish I would've know about them.

I did not have any itching. Talk with your doctor about things you can do if this does happen. There are anti itch creams and sometimes benadryl can help.

My doctor gave me benadryl for the itching (in the IV) while I was in the hospital, and I took it at home when needed. In my case, the itching went away after about a week. My doctor gave me a belly binder in the hospital. However, you can request one at the hospital.
