Recovering in Maternity Ward??

I stayed on the women's floor. Hysterectomies, gynocological cancer, pregnant women on bed rest and new moms with babies in NICU. I had a private room but from my walking adventures I saw that not all rooms were private. I guess depending on what you were there for, you got a roommate or not. Never saw or heard one baby. Though, I did hear the new teenage mom and her friends somehow having a very good time (party?) in the room next door.

That's where I was placed but mainly because my sister was the charge nurse on the floor and I knew the entire staff and she felt i would be more comfortable there. The staff was great and I think more senestive to my needs being they are trained to work with women. Also it was the floor the doc sent her paitents to. I had a private room as all the rooms on the mother baby floor are private vs the rooms elsewhere in the hosptial
