Gene mutation MTHFR - protein and folate issues among others

I've seen so many drs this month its crazy. I have heart issues, iron issues, my regular issues due to my gene mutation. It's nuts. I'm 37.

If your gene mutation is Lynch syndrome, we’re in the same boat. I have an entire medical team of specialists keeping me under constant cancer surveillance. I’ve had anesthesia seven times in the last year and a half and it looks like number eight will be coming up before the year is done. It’s not fun being medically complicated, but I’m glad that I know. It’s good that the field of genetics is unraveling the medical mysteries of the past.

I am homozygous of MTHFR A1298C. Which causes protein breakdown and folate resistance. Which causes a myriad of issues. My PCP says I may have fibromylagia now, which I believe I've had for a while. I'm in constant joint and muscle pain. I have had 3 doctors ask me just by looking at my face if I have Lupus. But my rheumatologist passed me off saying "well you have an auto immune disease but we don't know what, and so you don't need to come here anymore". Every year my blood results are different so they can't pin point what I have. Its a nightmare. My daughter is 2.5 and since she was born I've had 7 surgeries/procedures.

I’m sorry to hear that. I received my first autoimmune diagnosis this year after having symptoms for years. Doctors don’t know what to do with the strange assortment of symptoms that autoimmune disorders bring. I Hope that you receive the right diagnosis soon.
