List, lists & more lists

I had a list for pre-op questions
A list for what to take to hosp
A things to do list
5 lists for work (who does what)
A list for things I'll need when I get home

Then DH wanted a shopping list, so he could shop for me during the week so I could relax this weekend. Very sweet of him I know but I'm a bit fed up with trying to keep all these lists straight (I will probably need a list for my lists next )

So I made up this shopping list for him this afternoon, in between all the cans & cleaners I slipped in things like puppy, kitten, chocolate & prezzies.
He looked the list over very quickly, then stopped & re-read it with a big on his face & said with his strange sense of humour.
'But I don't know how to cook puppy & I don't think a kitten will get the floors very clean'
He never said a word about the chocs or prezzies though

Hi Tanis,
Gosh, I remember those lists. And a hint, get used to them, they are invaluable after surgery as well. I still know to write a list if there are things i need to remember.

Thanksgiving, I made a huge turkey. Hubby said the next day when i was no where near the fridge, "Dont forget the turkey"....I said of course "I wont"....Next day, Hubby told me again when I was no where near the fridge "Dont forget the turkey" I said "I wont"....Sheesh how stupid was he?? Third day, he said "DID YOU DO THE TURKEY??" I said "Oh no, but dont worry" The friday after, (5 days later) I opened the fridge door, and realized I had forgotten to do the turkey!! Needless to say, it got chucked, and DH just gave me that mean ole look they give.....You know the one....

Lesson learnt! You will need lists to remember things after!! And yes, a kitten or puppy are wonderful things to put on a list...Just make sure if you do get lucky and get one, keep your tummy pillow on your tummy!!

Hugs
Kat

Hi harley_kat,

I already have a tummy pillow stashed away, I also already have 5 cats
I was hoping for the puppy, but I have to wait a couple of years yet for that promise to happen (I have to move appartment)

I just thought I would see if I could sneek it past him ... I should have known better

But he still hasn't said anything about the chocs or prezzies on my list

LOL I feel that my lists are making more lists. I keep making them up then there are more things to remember and each time one of the kids looks at one they say ooops I forgot to tell ta about this or that... My DH is gonna have his hands full. Im glad he has a sense of humor like yours.

Good luck
