Hello-

Just got back from my pre-op this afternoon. Got the all clear from the dr. Although, I have a slight cough from my allergies,(when I get a cough it stays forever) she said unless it got worse not to worry about it. Looks like she can still do the bikini cut. The best thing of all NO BOWEL PREP!!!! She said she only does that when someone has bad endo problems not for fibroids.

Now I am getting scared.....said she would put me on morphine pump at first because I don't handle pain well. But she thinks everything will be all right.

The dr was tickled that I gave her a Hyster Sister book. Said she had never heard of the site. I told her all about this site and the great ladies on it. She said she would tell her other LIW about it.

That is so great that you shared with your dr a book on Hyster Sisters. This is so good, now others may know about our site and be able to talk to ladies who are going through this hysterectomy experience.

Try not to be too scared, I had the morphine pump and did very well on it. It must have worked, because I did not feel pain. Of course everyone is different.

I hope your cough gets better. If you take any medicines be sure your dr approves first. They don't like pre-op patients to take anything before surgery because it could affect the surgery and anesthesia.

I told my Dr. about the hystersisters site. She had never heard of it either. I told her I didn't have anyone to talk to and this was a perfect place to get info and lots of support. What caught my eye was you spell your name with two R's, so do I and we visit Las Vegas quite often! When are you scheduled to visit the castle? Good luck! I'm waiting for my date.
