No ins--must pay--willtheycancel?

Hi...
I've got a question. I am having my TAH/BSO on 11/19, Friday. I go in for my pre-op at the hospital tomorrow, 11/16. When I go, I know that the first thing they do is ask for your ins. information. But, I already know that my ins is denying this because of my preexisting condition. What I need to know is, should I just give them my ins info and let them file, and not say anything? Or should I go in and be honest and say, I'll give you the ins info but I don't think my ins will pay, so I understand that I will be responsible and will make payments? Or should I just not give them any ins info and say look, I basically don't have ins coverage so can I set up payment plan right now? I'm not sure what to do. Please give me some advice. The biggest thing is that I don't want my surgery cancelled!!!!!!!!

No ins--must pay--willtheycancel?

Our insurance cut me off a few weeks ago b/c of an agen that didn't do something right with the paperwork..and it all fell back on me..so I have no insurance. The Dr knows this and said to push for some type, but never said they wouldn't do it. I would go in being very honest so you don't hit any speed bumps later. We will pay some money down, as much as we can (hopefully around $1,000) and make payments from there.

GOOD LUCK and please let me know what they say.

I don't think, by law, that they can deny you medical attention. Put a call in to the admissions office to ask them about a payment plan. It might be worth it to fight the insurance company too, if you do not believe they should have denied you coverage for your surgery. Mine got denied because my doctor forgot to put that I have, in fact, taken Tylenol for the pain to no avail. Once he put that in his report, my surgery was approved. Insurance companies seem to deny everything for every tiny little reason.
