Is it just me? Pain after going back to work...

hi all i am 12 weeks on from full hrt and overy removal. went back to work on monday 11 th jan after feeling great then within 3 days i am now in agony with pains in my tummy.

I am at day 21 after surgery! I am taking it really easy thanks to wonderful husband. I am 46 and have no children so I have it doubly easy! I have had 5 other surgery experiences though none quite as drastic as TAH, BSO plus the complication of the incision being opened up.

I am a teacher and I remember how I felt after returning to work after the other surgeries. Returning to work definitely brought me pain, aggravation and a little depression about the pain being there! I have a fairly easier teaching position now (if there is such a thing) but I am still dreading going back...at 6 weeks IF the incision is healed up by then.

After the 2nd surgery, I tried to "save" some pain meds for that "rainy" day when I would go back to work and come home feeling yucky and hurting!

It does get better, so be patient. You just have to take one day at a time and listen to your body!
