Anyone had issues with Zoladex and bleeding?

Hi Ladies

Anyone had issues with Zoladex and bleeding? I'm having a hysterectomy in the next few months because of fibroids but excessive bleeding was never an issue. Now that I've started on Zoladex I've had my periods twice in 3 weeks and this time it's quite bad, I think its put me back into being anaemic again.
I went to my GP and she just said well Zoladex gives you menopausal symptoms which can be excessive bleeding (WTH??) I had to ask for an iron test and she agreed to a full blood count as well.
Is this normal? Im at week 3 of my first zoladex implant.
I'm just getting more and more confused

Re: Anyone had issues with Zoladex and bleeding?

Zoladex help to shrink fibroids before surgery to hopefully make removal of the fibroids a bit more manageable for your surgeon and reduce the size of incisions needed. Perhaps the bleeding you are experiencing is essentially the draining or blood/fluid from the fibroid while they are reducing in size.
