As a side note, you had a partial hysterectomy if the cervix portion of your uterus was left intact. A total hysterectomy removes the entire uterus, which includes the cervix. Removal of the ovaries is a surgery called oophorectomy and it isn't a part of the definition of any type of hysterectomy. The terms can be confusing!
