Moved up! only 4 days to go!

well, things sure do move quick sometimes!~ (scared spitless) I found out yesterday that I have 4 days to get ready, and off to the castle I go for a TVH. I'm still trying to acclimate my mind to doing it this quick! wait, scratch that.....it really hasn;t been "quick". I knew it was coming but didn't really prepare myself for the date moving up to Monday! I was scheduled for Dec. 10th......until my last trip to the E.R.. Doc said...ok, honey, we can't wait anymore. It's time.....whatcha doin, Monday? YIKES! I,m still swinging back and forth between wanting more time to be ready, and feeling lucky that by Tuesday all this will be a bad memory. (I hope) Doc did tell me we are still headed for the TVH ..... BUT....depending on the amount of scarring she finds in there......she'll switch to TAH. she sees no reason to take my ovaries so everyone cross thier fingwers and say a little prayer please,,,,,I wanna KEEP my ovaries! If I can. Last trip to the E.R. the physicians asst looked me straight in the eyes and told me "you're crazy for keeping your ovaries!" JEEZ! I'm only 41.....she made it sound like I should just pull out all my inards cuz they "might" cause me problems sometime. what an attitude! *L*

I am glad that you are having your surgery soon. I hope that they are still able to do TVH for you. I also think its great that she is going to try and keep your ovaries. If one is bad will she take both or leave one? My left ovary is in pretty bad shape (I know from previous surgeries) but we are planning on leaving my right. Best of luck to you!! I understand about feeling overwhelmed about the suddeness ( is that a word? ). One day I learned that I was having surgery - the next morning
On the otherhand - that means less time to worry and stress

I agree that keeping the ovaries if possible is a good idea. Why remove healthy organs?
