TAH: my surgery has been canceled! (UPDATED: Rescheduled)

Got a call today from my Dr. canceling surgery and referring me to another specialist!

I am so frustrated now!.. I just want the surgery over and done with!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Another Doctor??? Did they tell you what happened?

Whaaaat? Why? I can't imagine how you feel right now.

my Dr. spoke to 2 different specialist about my case and they suggested that it would be better if a specialist handle the surgery just in case the pre-cancerous was actually cancerous. If they found cancer, they could alter the surgery accordingly.. otherwise i might end up with 2 surgeries.

At least he was honest about it. But I was so looking forward to getting this over with, now who knows when surgery will get scheduled for.

That's frustrating. Based on your other posts, I hope the specialist is a GYN oncologist for your pre cancer. But I hope you get scheduled soon so you can stop waiting.

I'm confused... I swear my dr told me that the new dr was an gyn oncologist.. but when I look this guy up online, it just says ob/gyn.

I know it's frustrating, but look at it this way. Your Dr's are truely looking out for you. Hopefully they will get you in quickly and you will be on the way to being past this. Good luck and {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks for all the encouragement.... i know my doctors are looking out for me and that this is just a small set back... but I am frustrated right now.

Be glad. Perhaps you can get it done by the specialist and in a minimally invasive fashion. I hate seeing that women are still getting TAH's. Its absurd most of the time.
