LVH/LSH Cervix yes or no. Recovery? To many questions!

My hysterectomy is scheduled for Sept 13. But I didn't realise how many questions I should be asking. The plan is to leave the cervix but after reading numerous post I don't know if it is best. I have no clue what to expect for recovery. I am excited to think the pain and blood clots will be gone but now wonder if I should be more concerned about the other side. I keep reading for encouragement but keep finding more questions. I haven more doctors visit then a pre op two days later before surgery.

You can never have too many question for your Dr. You are under going a life changing, major surgery. Therefore you need to be comfortable knowing you have all the information you need. This site is a wealth of information so when reading posts and a guestion pops into your head write it down and take your list with you when you go back to the Dr. so you dont forget them. I would talk to your doctor and hear their reasons to leave/not leave the cervix. I brought up the subject of vaginal cuff issues, prolapse, etc. with my dr. because of all the stuff I've read, and she was able to put my mind to rest about a lot of issues.
