and didn't expect menopause at 34 years old!

Anyway, yeah, I'm in the mountains of WNC! I had a TAH with both ovaries out three weeks ago. I'm 42, but I am still not prepared for surgical menopause! At week 3 post OP, I am starting to feel what might be symptoms of menopause. My hands will get really hot and my face will flush, but it usually doesn't last long. It's only happened a couple of times.

Up until now, I think my body has been running on stored estrogen in my fat cells as well as getting some from my adrenals. I want to be really good to my adrenals so I can use whatever estrogen they can produce. I think that means keeping my stress low, and really limiting caffeine and sugar. Depending on my symptoms, I want to try herbs and things rather than drugs and hormones.

Hi, I am in Salisbury, NC! Had my hysterectomy in 2005! Hope you do well with your post-op and then on.

I'm in Franklin NC. Had my surgery in Asheville on Oct 9.

Jacksonville NC here. Surgery on 10/29/13.
