One month post-op (2016) Over 60, had complete hysterectomy. moods, soreness - 2016

I'm over 60, way past menopause. Had total hyst. A month ago. Breast sore, hormines are crazy, moods are crazier. Is this normal. What to do?

I have heard that this can happen againmd,you,got,the ovaries,out also. The ovaries still expel some hormones our whole lives just need not as much as we get older. I was half way through and now this past year has been a nightmare! Night sweats, hot flashes, mood changes. It was breezing going thru it before the surgery and now it is driving me crazy. I don't take anything for it but you may want to talk,to your doc about what you can do.

I had a similar experience - I had my hyster at 58 well past my menopause but have been on vagifem pessaries for the past 5yrs post surgery. Tried going off them on my GPs advice but had to get back on as I had dizzy spells, itchy skin, vaginal discomfort, joint pains etc. You might need to have a discussion with your dr about this and see what he/she thinks about trying some form of hormone replacement.

I'm sorry that y'all are having to go through this...as Fort 123 posted, maybe hormones are the way to go?
