Linda

My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go thru this. Let's hope it is just a fluke, but if not, we will be with you every step of the way.

Bye NED...it was a great dance...

Oh Linda, I am soo sorry to hear this. You know I just had a recurrance in August and am doing well again. Gemzar and Carbo are pretty easy chemos even though the Gemzar is weekly( only a half our each treatment) and the Carbo is once every three weeks.

Do you think that another surgery might be an option? I was lucky enough to have something to there to pysically remove.

Please Email or IM me if you need someone to talk to.

Rosalie and all Sisters:

Thanks for your kind words. Today I am feeling more comfortable with what is going on.

I'm not sure if you remember, but I was supposed to chemo 4-6 weeks after finishing radiation. That would have had me starting chemo last October. I would be over half done by now. But, all my specialists wanted to wait, so I got the mindset that I didn't need it. Now...BAM!

More surgery is not an option for 2 reasons. One, the scan showed no changes, which I think means that there isn't a large tumor. Second, my gyn-onc said he wouldn't do any more surgery. I think that means that 2 abdominal exploratories plus 2 laprascopic surgeries is enough. Add radiation to that...I've heard that radiated sites are much harder to do surgery on. SO... we'll see what happens.

Thanks for all the support. I'm not telling my DK's right now because Mom having a blood test and a scan is like an everyday thing to them. Mom having chemo again is a completely different story. I already have one in therapy to try and deal with all of this. I want to make sure that I handle it right this time. So, thanks for being here for me to chat with...

Bye NED...it was a great dance...

My dad is dealing with lymphoma right now, so I know from the kid's perspective how scary this is for you and your family. We are kind of dealing with the same thing right now. News that is not comforting, but we don't want to get freaked out, because it may be a fluke, or better yet, nothing. It's such a roller coaster.

I am saying prayers for you and your family tonight. The one good thing to come out of these experiences is the raw emotion and love you realize you feel for these wonderful people who have been given to you in this life. I used to take that for granted. I don't anymore.

Blessings to you and prayers for a healthy outcome. That NED better get back from the bar soon and start dancing!
