Just started bowel prep. Ahh!!

It has officially hit me that I am getting my TAH/BSO tomorrow at 7:15. Got my first enema and well we all know where I have been hanging out. ha ha Trying to keep a good outlook. Been cleaning most of day to kep me occupied and not to think about surgery. Have to be there at 5:15 in the morning. Just a tad bit early. I want to say that my husband has been obsolutely wonderful through this thus far. I am not too nervous about tbe surgery itself but about the recovery and pain involved. I need to learn to have patience with the recovery....cause I am the type of person that wants things done fast. I guess I need to start thinking of it as an extended vacation. More than likely I will be on here a lot tonight because I wont be able to sleep. This web site is wonderful!!!

You will be fine. Please do everything the Doctor tells you. If you have questions or concerns make sure you contact the Doctor. My couch was my best friend the first two weeks post op. I also had a wonderful recliner. Once you get use to being at home you will be sad when it is time to go back to work. See you on the post op page.

i have just gotten my bowel prep kit from the pharmacy kit today....blah....
It makes me want to puke already... a necessary evil I suppose. Home stretch!!!! Sleep is overrated anyway...think about drugs tomorrow...forced sleep and peaceful oblivion...whoopeee!!!
Good luck. Most I have know (personally) tell me the post op pain is not nearly as bad as they thought it would be. Just take it slow and easy and allow yourself downtime..guiltfree....you need it and deserve it. I too am type A and push too hard....just keep saying..I need this...I need this..I have no choice..In no time you will be up and running...life goes on.....

I have to do the disgusting bowel prep today too.....for me the torture begins at 12:00noon. Definitely not looking forward to it. To make matters worse, our house has only one washroom, LOL.

Hang in there. We'll both get through this!
