Question - Almost 4mths Post Op Almost 4mths Post Op

Hello! My name is Sofia and I'm glad to be a part of this group.
I had my total hys end of Dec. 2 days after surgery, I ended up getting an Ileus and a hematoma and that landed me in the hospital for 2 weeks. The surgery was robotic and the doctor was shocked to see the complications. Anyway, my ENDO was really bad before the surgery so we assumed it would be a slower recovery. I'm now into my 4th month and I have been experiencing lower abdominal, lower back, rectal and leg pain. It's almost like the ENDO pain I used to experience. The pain is made worse by sex. This FREAKS me out. I have asked my doctor multiple times and she says that it may just take me longer to feel better.

I'm frustrated. I thought I would be so much better and happier after surgery but I feel the same. Has anyone else experienced this?

Love to all,
Sof

Re: Almost 4mths Post Op

You've joined an amazing community for information and for support, too!

Feel welcome to use the Post-Op message board to ask for help with recovery questions, or opt instead to use the Endometriosis Support message board if you have questions that relate to your diagnosis. It is possible to have problems with endometriosis after surgery, as members in the Endometriosis Support forum can share.

You'll find information to help with concerns in the Post-Op Page, Checkpoints and also in the Endometriosis Articles resource.

We look forward to getting to know you!
