Wisconsin State Fair

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, remember the State Fair well as we would go several times during the summer. Dh and I are thinking about making the trip back home to visit relatives. I would like to go during August so I can show dh the State Fair.

My question is, does anyone know the entertainment lineup? I checked the website but nothing is listed. While I want to show dh the animals, the food, the polka and the fun, wouldn't mind taking in a concert too.

Do any of my Wisconsin friends know when they announce the concert lineup?

Hi Kim. This morning's Journal Sentinel has a section on Milwaukee summer events. Although I don't see specific dates for the various performers, here's who's on the list: Davy Jones of the Monkees, Gary Puckett and the Spencer Davis Group, Foreigner, Billy Currington, Demi Lovato, MercyMe, Big & Rich, and The Wallflowers. And, of course, cream puffs.

If you decide you'd rather do Summerfest, we have Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, George Strait, Chicago, Bob Dylan with Willie Nelson, No Doubt, Kenny Chesney, The Fray, and Kid Rock.

Thanks Chris! Hmmm..not much there, but I would still enjoy the fair. I'd love to come for Summerfest, but that is right around the corner, not enough time to get the plans together and schedule the time off work. Especially as I am the world's best procrastinator.
