Post-Op Confession

Hi lala,

You have a way with words. I liked where you wrote, "I am not going to pray that you get the job, but rather that God brings you to the best possible place for you to be. Sometimes my biggest disappointments have led to so much better opportunities."

In reading the posts among you, teacher and hope, I'm starting to realize that maybe I just need to make some adjustments in my working situation. Anyway, just reading these posts is good therapy for me. I really appreciate what everyone is writing. I hope you keep it up.

Hope,
I hope you get what you want. It sounds like you're dedicated and deserve it.

fal101,
That sounds like a good idea - for us to keep up with the journey.

loveisanswer, you wrote, "In some ways, I noticed that my situation got worse as I kept living a half life, settling and not giving my all. I sense there is a connection. "

I sense a connection too - between my health and just settling and not sorting out my feelings and finding out what I liked and disliked when I was younger. Hopefully, I'm now gaining the skills to change it.

Have a good night!

Thanks hummingbird for all the nice words. I think when you go through such a life changing event as a hysterectomy and spend alot of down time recovering, it really forces us to re-evaluate our lives. Probably not a bad thing.

Best wishes to all of you out there looking for better things in life.

I definitely feel "born again" and agree it is exciting and scary at the same time. Change, even when it is for the better, is always challenging!! I can't wait to see what becomes of the rest of my life but it's like having one foot on the gas and another on the brakes!!! I am still recovering but I hope to be in the right place mentally to lose the one on the brakes when I am well enough to move forward! Thanks for starting this thread, you are definitely not alone!

Speaking of change, there's a good (short) book out there about change and how we have a hard time accepting it.... it's called "Who Moved My Cheese" If anyone is interested, it's a great read and not too long. Now that I think of it, now would be a great time for me to Re-Read it!
