stupid things people say...

Ok, some of the sisters and I have been chatting about stupid things people have said to us since the surgery. I thought it would be healthy to get it out of our systems here where its safe and all in good fun. So if you have some to share this will be a fun one to go back and laugh at all the idiots in our lives who love us so much...

1. "You are so lucky you get to take a 6 week vacation"
2. "I'm jealous, I still have to use birth control (that was from my friend who knew I wanted more children)
3. "I bet it's nice to have a doctor's excuse to get out of sleeping with your husband"
4. "OMG I thought you had just gotten fat. That's great that there is something they can do about that."
5. "I bet it's nice to have all those drugs"

Ok ladies, time for you to chime in and get it off your chest.

At the market today when I said yes I would like help out with my bags: "Are you pregnant?"
Maybe I can't lift the heavy bags because I had surgery. So I say, "No, I had surgery"
Oh What kind? Excuse me? Sheesh.

I've had complete strangers ask me what kind of surgery I've had and I like to tell them a complete hysterectomy with complications just to watch them squirm a bit --- like it's any of their business!

Truthfully no one has had rude or ignorant comments to my face other than that, so I've been lucky.

After going back to work two weeks after surgery my coworker got mad because I wasn't "pulling my weight"
Having a patient say to me in a room full of people say, "So, I heard you had surgery and lost the cradle and kept the play pen" mg:

I received a card from all my clerks at work, the day before I left work I had to reprimand one for (consistantly) not doing her work, web surfing, email, etc, I told her "your getting paid to do a job" etc., etc,

soooo...on the card she wrote Lynn - milk the system, eat drink and be merry! Take the whole 8 weeks! miss ya! - funny - but she truly means it!!

I had a coworker ask me if my surgery was for medical reasons. I told her "Na, I just got tired of having a period so asked a doctor to cut my guts out."

I wish I could get a hysterectomy so I could have a tummy tuck too.

The worst one ever was not about surgery, but I just have to share it with you anyway.
our dog was hit and killed by car and my own mother said "I hope you have better luck with your kids"
