Talking - Anyone have younger children? Young ones too

Hi ladies,

I have 2 boys - an almost 2 year old (bday Dec 17th) and a 5 month old. We had to postpone my hyst so we could go to Colombia for a month to adopt our unexpected little one in July. You may ask, how does someone have an "unexpected" adoption? Turns out our son's birthmother had another baby and she hoped we could adopt him too. What a wonderful surprise!

I was worried about the 2 year old with my recovery, since one of his favorite things to do is climb all over me. But he has been wonderful. He can climb up onto my couch and cuddle with me, and by using a chair and putting the side down, he is able to climb into and out of his crib without me picking him up. The baby is another story, but dr. okayed me to pick him up at 2 week check up. Another few weeks and he will be crawling and then life will get really interesting!

Anyone have younger children?

Hi Ladies,

I'm glad I'm not alone with dealing with young children and recovering. I am 27 and my boys are 6 and 4 years old. They can be a handful.

Make sure you get help after your surgery. I have an extremely active 3 yr old and learned the hard way not to do too much!

Good luck with your recoveries!!!!
