Millimeter complex cyst found

Hello,

It's been a little over a year since my total hysterectomy. I was able to keep my ovaries. This May for my annual mamogram my right came back with a spot underneath my right nipple area. Here's a little back history first. 5 1/2 years ago when I went for my 1st mammo there was a mass on my left breast. I had it ultrasound quickly due to a up coming surgery a day later for removal of my thyroid. Radiologist assured me at the time it was most likely a fibroid and not to worry. I waited 3 months after my thyroid surgery to have it biospy done. It was confirmed that it was indead a fiberdorma.

I have a problem with fibroids and enviromental inflammation. I have had both thyroids biospied and removal surgery due to large inflammations. With my hysterectomy it was done becaus of a large pinapple sized fibroid pressing on my kidney and causing back flow.

Now this. I'm completely freaking out. The radiogist looking at the breast cyst stated it didn't look cancerous but couldn't be a 100%. Then on my report it stated it was suspious and could be anything. I went to my breast specialist that I already see and her nurse stated after another ultersound. That it was a complex cyst and they will be fine needle it Tuesday and if needed a biopsy. I'm so scared and tired of having continuos problems. I've had three biopsy not included every surgery that tested each tissue after. My anxiety is sky high. I'm concerned for my daughters. I've had a gene test done after my 1st baseline mammogram and i'm not a a carrier. US women deal with so much. I praying its nothing at the same time trying to prepare myself it its the worse and what to do.

Hello Dear, I totally feel you. I've been dealing with fibrocystic breasts for many years. I had them way before my uterine fibroids. My left breast is "worse" than my right. I have lots of complex cysts in it. A few ultrasounds ago, the radiologist said they were like a bunch of grapes. Over the years, I've had two needle biopsies, both came back negative. My pathology report says BI-RADS 3, which sounds scary when you look it up, but my doc says I'm okay. Early on, my doc took me off the pill and caffeine. I'm not sure if that helped. She let me have caffeine again when the cysts didn't improve and I complained about missing coffee. When my uterine fibroids got bad enough to make me bleed heavily and become anemic, my doc put me on the pill for a few months. It didn't help the bleeding, but it didn't seem to affect my breasts negatively, either. I've learned to live with lumpy breasts that hurt fairly often. I've also learned to not get a mammogram while I have PMS. It hurts too much! Sending you love & prayers!

Re: Millimeter complex cyst found

I have my first mammogram this week on wednesday I am nervous. I have a small lump my dr thinks its a cyst. Im thinking its from me being on HRT. Anyway a naturopath doctor told me to rub hexane free organic castor oil on breasts every day to keep inflammation down and prevent cysts. Its sticky stuff and I hate it but i started doing it yesterday.

Thank you both. Specialist took a look and said she doesn't see anythin suspious and didn't see the need to do anything. The size had shrunk from the original and she believe it was a cyst that was going away. Will montior again in 2 months. I didn't not know both breast were fibrocystic. Thanks again .

Try not to be nervous. The mammogram itself isn’t too bad, and from what I’ve read, most lumps are benign. A lot of women have lumpy breasts. I’ve never heard of using castor oil for that! It’s great for regrowing overplucked eyebrows, too

Here are a few dietary recommendations for fibrocystic breasts: eliminate caffeine and related compounds found in coffee, regular tea, cola, chocolate and caffeinated medications or energy drinks; make sure you're taking in around 25-35 grams of fiber per day, which helps to improve estrogen metabolism through your colon; eat more cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower, which help to improve estrogen metabolism through your liver; supplement with gamma-linolenic acid from evening primrose oil, and/or EPA and DHA from fatty fish or fish oil supplements. Best wishes for dealing with this quickly, and for your continued health!
