? About Swelly Belly Band

I got my band in the mail a couple days ago and plan on taking it with me to the castle next Friday. I read the directions about postop use and the use of plastic wrap over the band initially after the doc says it is okay to use. Did anyone do this while in the castle? Or if not did the hospital give you something to put against you if you didn't bring wrap? I am sure I am being a little paranoid and do not doubt its effectiveness with the swelling and cooling relief, but saran/plastic wrap is not sterile. Does anyone feel me on this? Just curious. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated. I am just trying to make sure I got my checklist all together. You know ladies. Gas-x, check; swelly belly band, check; comfy undies, check; bran/oatmeal, check; pads, check; pj's/comfy clothes, check, I could go on forever.

All I know is when this is all done, I am sure it is like Mastercard "Priceless".

Hi LaShan,

Since I had a TVH with no external incision, I didn't personally use the Swelly Belly Band. I find a post in Hints about using it while in the hospital: Swelly Belly Band

You can search for Swelly Belly Band in the Hints sub-forum and find other posts about it as well.

As for plastic wrap being sterile or not, I don't have any great knowledge about that, but I do hope that it's somewhat sterile since I use if for food all the time!
