What to wear home? and excercise question

Tears are good...get them out it will calm you a bit and you will sleep better. Soon they will be tears of relief (the best kind).

Feel free to email me if you want to tomorrow. OK? monaclaire@kc.rr.com

Blessings,
Mona

What to wear home? and excercise question

I have had 3 abdominal c- sections, 1976, 1979, 1981w/tubal. My experience is, the sooner you get up and walk the better you will feel. I didn't know that with the first one and was in terrrible pain. The second was easier and the third was a breeze. I am taking elastic waist band (don't usually wear) with me. I also went shopping yesterday for things to take with me tommorrow after reading the pre-op checklist. I bought a small pillow (available at the hystersister store) because when I found this site I didn't have enough time for shipping to get here before surgery. I am taking cotton panties(Granny panties) with me also. If they rub on your incision it really hurts(experience).

What to wear home? and excercise question

Hi dkjwine,

Like luvhouse, I wore either a sundress or nightgowns for my first few weeks home. I had a capped sleeve dress and slip that I wore home from the hospital. I wore the mesh gauze stretchy panities from the hospital and no other underwear...the gauze panties held the pads and a small dressing over my incicion because it was seeping a bit. I had slip on sandels, flat walking sandels, it helps to have shoes that you can slide in and out of.

Walking is excellent. Once you are cleared by your doctor to return to your excercise routine, you'll probably do well if you are patient with yourself and ease back rather than try to go back to your normal pace right way.

I plan to run around today to pick up all the recommended items you all kindly suggested today... After that, I just have to show up, yikes.. You are all right, I just need to be careful and not rush in to a anything to be put even further behind....Thank you again so very much

What to wear home? and excercise question

I wore a muu-muu home from the hospital, and had my teddy bear pressed solidly against my incision. I probably looked like a crazy old lady, but I was comfortable in the muu-muu and comforted by Teddy.
