Lozenges & Peppermint Tea Overnight Bag!

Prior to surgery, I read posts and thought I was prepared. If I could go back, I would have made sure to pack the following:

1) Lozenges for sore throat - A tube might be put down your throat and you might have a sore throat the next day. I never thought about this and dealt with coughing and a sore throat. When I got home a few Halls Relief menthol lozenges took care of it.

My hint/tip - pack some lozenges just in case.

2) I read all about swelly belly but threw my common sense out the window re: natural cures. I wish I packed peppermint tea to drink with the first meal. I received tea, but it was Lipton black tea. I don't know why I thought I would have choices (my partner reminded me that I was in a hospital, not on a cruise ship).

My hint/tip - pack peppermint and/or ginger tea bags to help relieve gas on Day 1.
