Proud of you, Presouz! I think I've been a single mom basically since 1979 and still have a few more years to go... well, really, it's for my entire lifetime since then.... but they grow up and fly.

That is so cute and brave on both your sides....I am tired out and granddaughter is over my shoulder so I guess I have to go and do another activity right now! I am sure you did because you've done a great job it sounds like in establishing a good life and independence and showing DD you can both have a good life together. When the right bear comes along you'll get another bunch of hugs. That's what I believe!

A good night to you, dear Presouz! Maybe tomorrow we can live vicariously through the reports of our new friends. Good healing to you. I've got a few twinges sitting here at the computer. Too much spider solitaire. My little grandkid is still into wrestling....she's loved it since she could walk/talk. Good grief! Teen is at her very first h.s. football game and then a sleepover. Bye for now.

Crossroads-good to hear from you. So the heart rate can be fixed with meds?

Ok girls about the "X" I've done it at least 4-5 times and it has been very good. But each time gets better. I was so scared the first time that I wasn't able to relax completely to worried that it would hurt. I was so happy that I had the big "O" and it wasn't painful. I no longer have pain with "X" so now I want to more often!! So TMI right. WOW the things we talk about.

I forgot all about this thread being particular to our surgery week. Glad Ginny reminded me. I like being able to see where others are in the same recovery period.

Thanks, WannaBe, for starting the new thread and sending me the email. I was pretty bummed after hearing that our forum was closed because I wanted to know how everyone was doing.

By Faith, I'm soooooooo happy that the colonoscopy didn't show anything. That must have been such a worry for you. And yes, I do feel uncomfortable here and there by the end of my school day.

Mostly I'm upset because my stomach doesn't want to go down. I can't understand it because I don't have much weight anywhere else but stomach and waist. I can't wait to go back to Contours and exercise but I've been putting it off until I see the dr. again next Tuesday.

I'll be watching for other posts!

Thanks for the hugs. Wasn't really looking for that. Just explaining why I get frustrated with elusive and vague diagnoses. I've dealt with it most of my adult life. After the gall bladder surgery, all my friends were amazed at how quick I bounced back. DH told them they had no idea how much pain I've suffered with all these years. But, like I said before, I've learned to live with it. Pain wise I've lost quite a bit after the gall bladder. Was hoping to lose as much after the hysterectomy, but haven't made it there yet. But I am at least to the point I was before the TAH, which is still better than I started the summer with. My cup is half full.

I may be in Tx now, but I grew up in Ohio. According to Texans, everything north of the Red River is Yankee. We joke that I am the token yankee in my church. When we get vistors or new members, we tell them if they can't remember my name (first & last are German Polish) just yell for the Yankee.
