Pre op made me more scared

I went to my pre op today and it was scarey. I found out i have to have a breathing tube because of emphezema and ashema, acid reflux. They said i would get breathing treatments before and after. Than on top of that i have a big bag i have to do an enema with the night before. Than they said i have to douch night before and morning of. I have to be there by 6 am tuesday 3/16/04. I also have to do a betadine wash all over the front of my belly night before and morning of. I feel like i will be wore out when before i get there.
I thought i would be a little calmer after today but im not. did anyone else have to go through all of this before going in? I know it has to be done but wow this is a lot. Plus i have 2 pills to take night before and three the morning of. I'm having a tvh on 3/16/04.

I did not have to do any of the things that you do, but I wanted to offer a lot of s for you. I know you are scared, but yes, these things have to be done so everything goes well for you during surgery and after.

It sounds like they are taking care of you to see that you will be all set for the big day. It won't be too long before you will be in and out of the castle and home again.

i had a tah, I had to douche with betadine solution and do a Fleet enema the night before,and also douche the morning of again. Just a lot of fun us woman go through. Good luck with surgery and recovery!
