TAH Hospital Stay

Hi Ladies,

For those of you that had a TAH how long were you in the hospital? I'm scheduled to have mine next week and was wondering.

I had my surgery on Monday and was released on Thursday AM - but my nurses said some Doctor's would have kicked me out by Wed. evening. I was glad for the extra day, though.

I am 3 weeks out and have almost no pain. I am tired but feel great otherwise.

I had my surgery on a Tuesday and went home Thursday.

Surgery Monday, home Tuesday.
Many warm thoughts for you and your upcoming surgery.
I'm so happy to have had mine. 6 weeks this week and I'm doing great.

Thursday, home on Sunday.

I had my surgery on Friday and went home on Tuesday. I was trying to stay an extra day lol! But after I got home, I was happy to be back.

My TAH was Thursday 8AM and went home Saturday at 10:30AM. I didn't get out of bed all day Thursday and Friday they took out the catheter and I had to be able to completely empty my bladder, eat and keep my pain managed.

I stayed 2 nights. My surgery was at noon last Monday. I was in recovery at 2 PM and up to my room at 3PM. Discharge was 9 AM on Wednesday. I was walking so quickly to the wheelchair the nurse commented" You must really want to get out of here!". I had a good hospital stay, but knew that I could rest and relax better at home. Good luck with your surgery.

I'm the same as most of the other sisters who have posted. I went in at 6:30am Wed (for 7:30am surgery) and was released Friday morning. Was up walking Wed night and all day Thursday. I hate hospitals so was very ready to go home!
