Don't kiss him and wash your hands a lot. But most likely you have already been exposed. oh forgot get lots of rest. AND Good luck. Seriously I sure hope you escape the cold. I know waiting for the surgery date is the hardest part. So you have my prayers.
Hugs,
Anndy

Oh no!! I completely agree with Anndy, wash your hands like a mad woman. I'm in the same boat, I'm scheduled for Monday morning and my grandma has a cold, my daughter has pink eye and an ear infection, and my husband spends all of his time in hospital ERs for work so I'm right in the middle of a germ mess. I pray you don't catch your hubby's cold. Good luck on Tuesday!!

Good luck! I'm trying to avoid it as well and cannot even think about having to reschedule my Wednesday procedure. All the prep work getting my team ready for me to be out that long! My designer has been out with pneumonia and I've been using his computer to do the design work. Make sure to drink lots of fluids and the nurses said airborne (my secret weapon) is ok. Good luck!!

Re: surgery January 14 and the cold is lurking in my house!!!

Hello, I just had my surgery last Wednesday and came down with a cold the weekend before. My doctor had me treat my symptoms with medications, just no ibuprofen or aspirin. I took some mucinex and a decongestant, drank a lot of water and hot tea and rested as much as I could. The day of my surgery my throat was still a little scratchy but I did feel better than the days before. The anesthesiologist told me as long as I wasn't running a fever or had a respiratory infection I was good to go. They worry about pneumonia setting in. I was treated with antibiotics in my IV. I did have a sudden cough that was excruciatingly painful, and I have been doing some deep breathing exercises to try and control when I cough, or at least get braced for it! I also could not bear the thought of postponing my procedure. Good luck!!
