3 weeks left

well I having my biopsy on wensday, then my tvh on feb. 14th
valentines day. 3 weeks away. ready to just get it over with.
The stress of waiting is so overwhelming at times. you don't
know what to expect, cause everyones surgery and recovery
is different.

I understand your feelings. I just found out that my date for the castle is feb 16.... I see the dr the 1st, to find out what her plans are. I have dysplaysia, and an enlarged uterus. She has had me on provera to thin out the lining.
I have to say this site has helped calm my fears..the waiting is horrible. Also, I did read a E-book. It is called"THE WORRIED WOMEN`S GUIDE TO A HAPPY HYSTERECTOMY". It cost $22, but worth it. The lady is named Shiela Martin, and she praises this site. It was worth the money to read it..
Well, I know this is easier said then done, but stay calm,, get your room ready for your recovery. I am putting pics of all my gkids in there, and a pic of Nascar driver Rusty Wallace,,sigh::, oh and cleaning out the dust bunnies, they just won`t stay gone

I had a real mixture of emotions in my pre-op phase. One day I was calm, the next day very anxious, the next day downright frightened.

One thing that helped me is to read the Princess Stories on this site:

It's true that all of our experiences are different -- but those stories gave me a good base of knowledge so I had a good idea of what I might expect from the castle and immediate post-op period.
