Re: Very Nervous

It's normal to be nervous before your surgery. I was and, upon reading the site, most all of us were. Just hang in there. You'll be on the other side before you know it and feeling much better. Try to stay rested and I will send prayers your way.

Re: Very Nervous

(((divadidi)))

When I was diagnosed with CC, I was initially also "more" concerned with the prospect of major surgery than the cancer itself. Take a deep breath! You stated that you're having a radical hyst, so I'm assuming you're seeing a gyn/onc (gynecological oncologist). We strongly recommend them for gyn cancers as they are the experts, and you want the best for your health.

It sounds like you've caught things early which is great! As Peggiesue mentioned, there are lots of wonderful sisters over on CC if/when you have questions or concerns specific to the cancer diagnosis/follow-up, etc.

Hugs!

Re: Very Nervous

Hi Divadidi,

I'm so glad you started this thread. It has really helped me a lot, too. My surgery is only 2 days after yours. Maybe we can be recovery buddies!

I am new to this site and still trying to find my way around. I'll probably "see you" again soon.

Take care,
Abrianna

Re: Very Nervous

I am so nervous, I can't think straight, I'm just kind of existing since I found out about having a hysterectomy. my surgery is Feb 19 two days from now. I am going for my pre op in an hour. I am scared of having a panic attack before surgery. I've been wheezing and having trouble breathing for a week and I am not sure if it's nervous stress or I'm really sick so to top it off I am concerned that my surgery will be postponed.

I had to just lay these fears out here because I don't want to upset my family.

Re: Very Nervous

Ah, You will be okay! Fear beforehand is way worse than it really is. You just need to let yourself rest after. The family will take care of themselves. Mine did. Just have to learn to leave the messes alone. You can get to them later. Pamper yourself, get rest, and you'll be just fine.
