For after hysterectomy
Be sure to take those short walks in the hospital- It is recommended as Physical therapy because helps heal you quicker. It doesn't have to be miles or hours of walking, but it helps heal you and it helps with the boredom of being in the hospital.(You will get to experience it once you start feeling less exhausted). Start off slow (as in time) and progress from there.
Be sure to get some depends or disposable underwear-I had diarrhea after my hysterectomy (which was according to the nurses, very normal to have)and since you are a little weak and tired, you may not be able to get to the bathroom as fast as you want to. These help in case of an accident.
If you are allowed to have this, have some one pick up packs of gum for you. This is help with the queasiness and help with bowel movements. Also invest in some good lip balm-I recommend burts bees. This was my savior after my surgery.
