Surgery 12/11

I am 38yrs old married with no children and having my hysterectomy (hoping to keep the cervix) on 12/11 and I'm exremely nervous. I have stage IV Endometrious. I have a fibroid cyst on my right ovary and a endometrium cyst on the left (which kills me). Was told to have hysterectomy 8yrs ago, but decided to try fertility treatment to hopefully have children but no luck.
I don't know why I am nervous... I am ready to live my life and stop dealing with the pain from my endo. Sometimes I feel like the pain runs my life. I have had two prior surgery because of my endo. They were major.

I have been through menopause with a Steroid (3x's)and that was tough is going through natural menopause as rough? I don't know If I will be put on HRT right away since I have endo on my colon and bladder.

Haven't been called for Pre-op when do they do that?

It's nice to know that there are other women out there dealing with the same issues I have.

Just wanted to wish you well, although I don't have many answers.
I had my pre-op on a Thursday and my surgery the following Tuesday.
My hospital wanted the pre-op to be within the week.

I have pre op in the morning. I spoke with the hospital this morning for all the medical questions. My surgery is Monday the 11th at 11:30. It's going to be hard to go without my coffee!

Just curious to know, why are you hoping to keep cervix?

I would like to keep my cervix because I feel there isn't a reason for them to take it. Also concerned about sex life without it. I know there is mixed reviews about how it does or doesn't effect you sex life. Plus mentally I won't feel so empty. I would have to say that's the main reasons. It's scary enough having everything else gone. But, If they need to remove it which is a possiblity I am ok with that too. It's all just so scary.

Good luck with your surgery. I go in at 10:30 the same morning. I don't drink coffee but I'll be need something to come my nerves.
