back pain & fibroids

Denna - Fortunately, I don't have the crime scene but do have the break through spotting and bleeding during the month especially after DH and I are intimate.

I'm scheduled for bright and early on 9/13 at 7:30a. I wish it was later so I could see my grandson before I go to the castle. He's 3 1/2 and lives with us, so I'm the one that drops him off in the am - I'll miss my hug, kiss and "blow" kiss! Oh well, I'll have to stock up on Sunday night!

back pain & fibroids

Hi Molly,

By the day of my surgery I was taking Tylenol when I woke up at night, another dose in the morning, and two more during the day just to be able to have some hope of putting up with my back pain. I couldn't bend over long enough to tie my shoes, so I'd leave them tied and force my feet into them. I also had leg pain on the left side and muscle cramps as well.

I'm one week post-op and have had NO, yes, that's right, I said NO lower back or leg pain. Woohoo! What a blessing that has been. I certainly hoped that kicking out Marvin the martian (my fibroid) would lessen some back pain, but I never thought it would disappear entirely. I do have some upper back pain, mostly because I've been using those muscles more during my recovery to get into and out of bed and my favorite chair.

Good luck with your surgery!

Back pain

That is my biggest problem, the back pain. It is constant. Glad to hear it can go away after surgery. I don't have problems with excessive bleeding, pain other than the back pain etc. One big problem in the past few weeks, is VERY urgent bowels! Good thing so far that a bathroom is nearby usually! I am hoping I will be back pain free, urgent bowel free, flatter belly, just a little at least please!a

The doctor would not confirm that the back pain is from the fibroids but there is no other explaination for it the mri was negative. The back pain is constant so it is reassuring to hear others are experiencing the same thing.
Still deciding treatment options .M.D. mentioned supra-cervical resection.

BACK PAIN AND FIBROIDS

When I first went to the doctor they gave me a sheet that explained the back pain from the fibroids.

back pain & fibroids

I've never had a huge back pain problem, although there has been some. But I'm sure it all depends on where your 'broids are. My "main one" is at the top on the right of my uterus. So I feel the lump right behind my belly button.

I also wore the WRONG outfit to work today. Geez. I look like I'm carrying a basketball under my dress.

MJ, I'm so glad you mentioned the pain behind your belly button. I get that sometimes. I wondered if it could be from the fibroids. I have 4, the largest one is only 2 cm. I guess it's just in the right position to cause the pain.

This site has been a blessing.
