Good news - I WOKE UP!

I'm a princess now! My surgery was on 11/18 and I came home last night about 7:00 p.m.

Gosh, I was SO SCARED thAT I wouldn't wake up. Silly, I know, but still a very real fear.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everybody know that i'M home and doing ok. I'm in quite a bit of pain but it's manageable. I'll post my entire princess story when I'm feeling a little better. I slept pretty good last night - part of the time in bed and part of the time in my recliner. I'm glad I brought my "breathing therapy" thingy home because I used it last night to help clear my lungs.

LIW - It really was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting the worst but the worst never happened.

My doctor was able to leave in my right ovary which was one of my worries. He had to take the left one (too much endo) and my uterus, both tubes and cervix.

More later when I feel a little better. I'm kinda dopey right now - LOL!

Good news - I WOKE UP!

Wow! Is that some kind of speed record or what?! In on the 18th and out on the 19th??? Today is the 20th, right?

I'm just amazed you could be in and out that fast and feeling good.

Thanks for the words of encouragement - I go Monday. Take it easy, treat yourself like royalty and rest!

Good news - I WOKE UP!

Welcome home! Now be a good princess and remember your training: rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.

We’ll look for your castle story on the “Princesses Tell Their Stories” forum, and all further recovery updates on the PostOp forum.

Best wishes for a smooth, uneventful recovery.
