progestin and pain

So I have been having tons of pain lately from a enlarged uterus. Called the clinic and they put me on Aygestin (a form of Progestin) 5mg a day. they said it would help with the lining and pain. I took it for 2 weeks last month and it did help a little. now they have put me on it full time until my surgery, which by the way I still do not know when it is. But must be within 60 days because she said that is all I will need for the Aygestin.

Has anyone else use this drug and how was it long term for you?

Re: progestin and pain

I'm sorry you're dealing with pain. I have never used Aygestin so I don't have a personal experience to share. Hopefully, someone around here has and will be along soon. Hang in there! I hope you're feeling better soon!

Re: progestin and pain

My dr. put me on provera. Not sure if its the same thing. IT MADE MY PERIOD STOP...YAY!!!! Not had any problems with it. I was concerned about hairloss. I lose so much of my hair from being anemic I don't need anymore help in that catagory!!! Hope that helps....
