hyst....taking everything except for cervix....have had normal paps....

I am going for a second opinion the 18th , we will see what comes. There are few options with my size uterus and multfibroids. Too many to count, as the say.

Thank you for the insight. My uterus does like to grow things. My doctor said he was shocked, they grew this fast in months. Just my year for this. I had health problems Jan -July this year and was in and out of the hosp. This surgery will be my 7th for the year.
the previous surgeries are unrelated to uterus so, won't bring it up on site. I think you are suppose to limit focus. My cardiologist is overseeing my care and I am wanting to hold on to uterus. I have reduced my fear of the loss of contraction you get when you orgasm and the hormones in the uterus. I had not had a partner for many years and just now began. Maybe, women still feel the same at intimacy. My doctor said, you won't notice a thing .
In the sex dept. They say its my health its important. I just didn't know anyone who had this procedure.except my mom

It is definitely a tough decision. I had one myomectomy and now have decided to have a hysterectomy because the fibriods grew back with a vengence. I am only 42, so it was difficult to make the decision, however, I do not want to continue to go through surgery after surgery when the fibroids will keep growing back. I do not have children and don't plan to, but it was still hard to decide what to do. I am sick of the pain and heavy bleeding and I want to enjoy my life. There are many good sources of information on this site to help you. Good luck.
