I had my pre op today. Went to the hospital, had blood work drawn, spoke with the nurse, already had my ekg, and then was surprised to find out that I was also scheduled for a mammogram.....well ok its been 2 years. Got that out of the way. Now wearing my bracelet for blood type... All in all, took about 1.5 hours.
So off to the dentist I go. I figured since I was taking the day off from work for pre op and surgeons office visit, might as well right.....well, found out I had a cavity that needed filled. The dentist said, ok we can do that next week. I said I am having surgery on Monday. He said ok we will fill it now. How lucky can I get that my dentist wanted to be so accomodating.
Had my filling done, and off to the surgeons office I go, droopy face, numb mouth, numb eyeball and ear. My surgeon was also full of good news. He said since my fibroids have gotten so large and the fact that I have had prior abdominal surgery, he may not be able to do the laproscopic assisted. He may have to do the bikini cut but he will decide that on the table.....ok. what next ........

So it was a challenging day. I finished it off by going out to dinner with my 8 year old granddaughter for dinner, and to the book store. Perfect ending to a day. I can hardly wait until Monday 11/7 when I will be off to the castle.
