My DH didn't like seeing the glue on my butt and I"m afraid it will come off at work from all of the activity. So far I haven't had any dryness or bowel problems.
Honda - I hope everything goes well tomorrow at work. I plan on pacing myself the first 2 weeks and hopefully that will work. I think I'm more afraid of just being totally exhausted. But it doesn't help that next weekend my DD has a soccer tournament out of town (a 2 hours drive) and we have to spend the night. Let us know how you do your first day back at work.

Great to be part of the graduating class!! Brilliant move Heidi! I hope to stay in contact regularly - that's my intention anyway...
Went back to work today - mainly computer work. Tomorrow I start with the physical stuff and it promises to be pretty non-stop. Fell asleep on the sofa after work today and am already ready for bed! Talk about useless!
Good luck in our recovery and good health to everyone...

Good luck Gardener and honda and everyone else returning to work in the morning...I am going to bed early and have to be in about 8:15. I'll let everyone know how it went tomorrow night.

Thanks for the good wishes Brenda and I hope you start having more good days, take it easy.

Hi to everyone checking in! It is good to hear from everyone, even if you're busy.

And let our DH's be calm and understanding...poor things are trying to be good but you'd think by their sad eyes that they were the ones undergoing an extreme physical ordeal!

Hi Ladies,

Just a short note!

We will NOT be closing this thread at 8 weeks. Instead, we will move this thread to our clubhouse forum where you can continue your friendships.

We ask that you remember if you have a question about your surgery recovery, start a new thread.

And we also ask you stick around our post-op forum, offering support, hugs and answering questions of our new members with post-op surgery questions.

Carry on!

I did alot of sitting today, reading over 500 emails, and my back was stiff also. I also started having some sharp pains by late afternoon, but when I got home they were gone. I'm assuming that it was caused by that chair. I was getting used to sitting on my love seat on my deck, not an office chair. I'm exhausted though!

Helloooooooo

Hello, gals! Sorry I've been laying low. I feel as though I'm pretty much completely back to normal now. Lord knows the family certainly does! I'm doing everything I did pre-hyst. Went back to the doc last Thursday and he cleared me to go back to work. Thankfully I talked him into keeping me out till this Thursday when my short term disability runs out. Doc said we still needed to wait 2 more weeks for sex, which the hubster was NOT thrilled about, but I'm actually a bit relieved. The more healing in there the better in my book!

Hope everyone is well. Good to chat with you all!
