My DH is just too funny...
Okay...
So, I'm worried about the bowel prep, the anesthesia, the "what if's"....blaablaablaa...I could go on and on, right???
My DH comes home from work last night and starts telling me about a conversation between him and another male co-worker. DH is telling him about how he is feeling stressed out and that he is going to have a lot of extra responsibilities over the coming weeks due to my surgery. Okay, I say to myself....I'll give him that...(although my mom will be staying with us for 2-3 weeks to help out with our kiddos) Anywho...He starts telling me that it really bothers him that I won't be able to get into the pool for 6 weeks with the kids, and he doesn't see why I can't...With as much patience as I can muster up, I try to yet again explain this to him...He has a medical background, so there really is no reason for the misunderstanding...other than he doesn't like the answer...
Well, last night I couldn't sleep from 2:30-5:45...My 4 year old son had a nightmare from "Fox and the Hound"...I decided to check email...
This is the funny part...My DH's coworker had emailed my DH links for woman's fisherman waders...
My DH had actually forwarded this email to me with this comment....
"Consider this for week 3 when you feel better so you can get in the pool..."
The man wants me to wear waders in the pool so my kids can swim to me!!!
Again, I'm worried about will I come out of the surgery alive and hubby's wants me in the bleeping pool by week 3...
MEN!

My DH is just too funny...
Oh ... I so needed that laugh!!
That reminds me of the first night home from the hospital. Just imagine dinner time. Food has been made and brought to the house by a friend from church. All that needs to be done is to serve it up on plates. I have been home for about an hour now and am sound asleep and high on pain meds.
Dh comes in and sits on the bed (AWE!) and says honey ... are you sleeping? Well... I was!! I open my eyes and he says oh good ... your not. How much do I feed the boys? Its chicken terriayki. Do you put it on a bowl or a plate? Where does the rice go? What do I do with this (salad)?
Okay ... I am up. Make dh help me out of bed. So off I go to the kitchen to sit in a chair to explain. I am explaining how to serve the food. So .... what does he do??? Hands this gigantic plate of food to our 2 year old. rice with a whole breast of chicken on top with a huge pile of salad on the side and hands him the dressing and terrakyi sauce and tells him to poor however much he needs on top! WHATTTT?????
So off I go to cut up chicken and make plates. There was enough food on the 2 yr old's plate for 5 kids and we only have 3!!!! Dh's response ... I am so glad that you can do this. Now you can cook again... WHAT!!!???
Needless to say ... yep. Against docs orders every night ... *I* make the dinner plates. While sitting at the table. I make them bring me everything. dish it out. Then go back to bed.
Men!!!

My DH is just too funny...
I had left this post pulled up on the laptop and left the room to go make lunch. My husband evidently read this (nosy thing), and then came and asked me what "DH" stood for. I raised my eyebrow at him and asked why he wanted to know. Honest to goodness, he thought "DH" stood for something that started with a D and ended with Head. I nearly fell on the floor laughing. (He must think that everyone hates their husband with "my DH did this" and "my DH did that"!!) When I told him that it stood for "Dear Husband," he said "Well, in the context of that post, my idea works too!" Charming!!!
