Best Wishes to our December 11 Princesses

I made it through my pre-op appt. at Dr. office. I can't seen to stop crying and it's really honkerblonking me off. Sat in a bathroom stall crying before I could go to my car. Now I'm blubbering in the parking garage of the hospital. This just sucks...

Re: Best Wishes to our December 11 Princesses

Is this the thread where we are supposed to post in?
Anyway, I am glad that there are others who are doing this the same day as me. It helps me feel not do alone.

Went to pre-op today, asked my Dr. Tons of questions and he was very patient and answered everyone in detail. I told him about my concern of not knowing how my other organs were doing since he couldn't see them with just a vaginal procedure. He added the laparoscopy procedure and agreed to take a look at my ovaries and see if there's any endometriosis.
I felt really at peace and good about my decision. We decided to keep the ovaries unless something doesn't look right when he does the procedure.

I'm so thankful for everyone here, I had no clue about anything regarding hysterectomy es and thus site helped me know what to ask and feel at peace about my decision.

I'll send a prayer for everyone who's going for surgery this week. Wednesday can't get here soon enough.

Does anyone know if a binder might be advisable for a LTVH? Oh, and since I don't have time to order one from here, is this something I can find at a regular pharmacy?

Thanks and God bless!

Re: Best Wishes to our December 11 Princesses

Regarding a binder for LAVH- I asked today at me pre-op and was told I wouldn't need one since I won't have abdominal incision.

Re: Best Wishes to our December 11 Princesses

Was anyone else told only clear liquids after midnight tonight? I wasn't expecting that. Or bowel prep....

I didn't even think about coffee! Sheesh tomorrow might suck more than Wednesday. At least I don't have to do a bowel prep!
