I just got a mini red dragon. My surgery isn't until April, & I know what you mean about dealing with the grief. Plus I'm terrified. Maybe my new pillow pet will help.

I miss Michaels... *tear 6 months 19 days til we move back to the US and I have already scoped the store location out. ha ha

I have my little brown dog with me all the time. I had a cold going into surgery so it helps to hold it to my belly when I cough and blow my nose. I also have a few (!) cats so I put the mini pillow pet on my belly then put a lapboard (padded on the lap side) over that so IF a cat decides he was to sit with me, my belly is protected and well padded. It was also invaluable walking around the floor in the hospital. I wish I had had a binder but I didn't order it soon enough - the pillow pet it a great substitute!

Mine's a dolphin peewee named Azurine. A great comfort with versatile uses, from a prop for a iv burdened hand to extra support for head,side,back, among other things. Good for cuddling in difficult moments too

I got one! A week post-surgery, but oh well, better late than never! She's a mini ladybug and her name is Dot 2 Dot.

Anle that is the cutest name! I ended up also getting a turtle because that is as fast as i will be moving post op. I named him Franklin. Well really the three year old i nanny named him franklin.

I look at it this way, and many people might not agree with me but if my uterus liked me, she would stay. She doesnt so she is getting evicted. It's sad because I don't have any kids but there are some out there that need me more than I need my uterus. Me crying about it is not going to bring it back or make it better. In fact I am having a NO baby shower next weekend to collect items for charity and throw myself a party. I wish you luck and hope you feel better.

About Pillow Pets, I already have 2 big ones and 1 pee wee. I will have to get another one because those belong to my cats. Dior (queen of the house) can not sleep without her unicorn and Issey has to have her dog. The only thing I am afraid of is how to "tell" Dior that she cant be on my lap for awhile. She is very spoiled and over protective of me when I am sitting still.

I am not a stuffed animal person either so i went with the "perfect pillow" it is round like a donut. It is cheaper than the pillow pet and available in most stores for $15 in the as seen on tv section (walmart etc). I like it alot for use under the seat belt and 8 months later I still use it in the car or recliner or in bed because it is so versitile. I have one in blue and one zebra striped.
